Editing Tips To Improve Audio Quality- Audacity So the first thing ur going to want to do is open up Audacity.. This is what the interface looks like. Then you are going to either import or open your audio file. Once the file is opened, save your work so that you dont lose any progress made if anything was suppose to happen in the middle of the audio editing. Now that your file is saved, the first thing that you are going to want to do is to normalize the recording. Normalize Audacity To do this, ensire that all the audio is highlighted then go to the effects tab and click normalize. You will see it proceas for a second. Now that the video is normalized, i'm going to let you listen to it and then listen again once edited. Remove Background Noises Audacity Now that the audio is normalized, we are going to reduce the background noises. To do this, highlight a few seconds of the file, right before you started recording. Then go to effects click noise reduction, then click get noise profile. Once you click get noise profile, click this grey area of the audio to highlight the entire track then go back to effect and click noise reduction and click ok. It will also process that instruction. Next we want to bring out the bass and treble in the voices. So go back to effect, click equalization then click treble boost and then ok. Repeat these same steps but instead of treble boost click bass boost and then click o.k and let it process. The last thing that you want to do is to set a limiter on the recording to reduce variations in volume and also clippings. So highlight the recording and go back to effects...then look for limiter. Click that and leave it at -10 decibels and click ok. So noewlets listen to the audio once more to see if it sounds any better. O.k so it sounds a whole lot better but ill let you be the judge. You may not be able to get the full quality through this video but you will when u edit yours.
