Starting with free software, and then moving up to more professional ones. First up we have the Free Editing Software: 1. YouTube Editor Is an online free tool which can take time to use, as you have to upload your videos first. Not the best solution. 2. iMovie on Mac - This is a free app that should already be pre-loaded onto your Mac. This has a very easy-to-use and simple interface, so you should not have problems when it comes to your user experience. This is highly recommended if you're on a Mac. ...(More info in the video). 3. Movie maker on PC - Free application that should already be on your PC you can download on windows site if not. This is a good starting point, as you can do basic stuff like importing clips, Trim, split, speed them up or slow them down. You can also add titles, music and choose from themes. 4. Lightworks (Mac & PC) - There are free and pro versions of this software. It seems to get a some good reviews online and would definitely be worth a look at the free version so check it out. Next up we have the Paid Editing Software: 1. Sony Movie Studio Platinum (approx $60) - It comes with some great effects such as the old TV effect, stabiliser, 3d title designer. Screen Flow ($99) Mac - Very good value for what you get and is highly recommended if you're a Mac user. It's simple & easy to use and it does both screen capture and editing. 3. Camtasia ($250) PC & Mac - It's quite a high price for what it goes, again this does both editing and screen capture. 4. Adobe Premiere Elements ($99 or try free for 30 days) PC & Mac - This is Adobe's entry level editor. Adobe Premiere Pro ($20/month) PC & Mac - This is what we use in our business and it's awesome. This is the professionals choice.
