This video demonstrates how to take a screen capture on the Galaxy S3 running Android 4.0.4 with TouchWiz. (Basically a Galaxy S3 straight out the box). Took me a while to figure it out, i'm used to the animations Samsung does to demo how to do their motion techniques. Hope this helps you, as Power + Home or Power + Volume Down never worked for me :(
